Independent Government Analysis of ICS Cyber Vulnerabilities
April 4, 2022 | Robert Bergman
If you are considering any industrial control system purchase, an important rapid check on the ICS-Cert Advisories database will confirm if the control product and specific models have any known cyber vulnerabilities. Simply go to the ICS-Cert Advisories database, search on any brand name or model number, and instantly learn if ICS-Cert has identified cyber risks.
As of today, there are nearly 2000 identified cyber vulnerabilities on mainstream ICS and network products, along with a detailed analysis of the risks and attack vectors. You can also take note that a search on Bedrock Automation results in zero references of ICS cyber vulnerabilities on any of the Bedrock Automation digital platforms including ICS, Power, Flow and IIoT.
ICS-Cert is a taxpayer funded agency charged with protecting industrial control systems. In addition to providing current advisories on vulnerabilities of control systems, it provides alerts of current threats and related activity, and reports on a wide variety or information impacting ICS-cyber security. Please use this free government database to your advantage.
For background on why Bedrock has no known vulnerabilities at this time, read Bedrock Commentary on ICS-CERT Advisories.
